I’m not the person I used to be, though the look is similar. Just like my hair turns red then grey, I’m always changing.
It’s a matter of personal belief, a way of looking at the universe. Call it a person teleology. The world is headed somewhere, or at least I am.
Twenty years ago, I dropped out of high school. It’s a choice I’ve accepted and explained to a few people I trust.
In a few months, I will have completed a PhD. But that’s just one example.
When asked what punctuation mark I would be, I would say the ellipses. Dot dot dot. On my way somewhere.
So, to paraphrase a religious book, leaving some things behind. Promising to be better.
