I remember when I was first embarking to my trip to Maine to meet a guy I had been speaking to online. I was excited for the prospect of an adventure. I had never been there, and I had been told that state was beautiful.
Despite the twenty-three hour bus ride that awaited me, my spirits were not dampened. When I left for Maine I only thought I'd be spending a week there.
However, I took everyone by surprise (including myself) [when with some prodding from my friends] I decided to make the executive decision to live there. I had never been one to do anything spontaneous or rash like this in the past. But when you truly love someone there is no sacrifice that is too large.
When I returned to Pennsylvania just shy of a year later—I certainly had been through experiences I would have never known otherwise. Some more bitter than sweet.
But I did meet and befriend some wonderful people that I would have otherwise not met.
Life is all about choices. Sometimes we make the right ones, and sometimes we take the wrong path.
Yet we always arrive where we are supposed to. Because each experience makes us stronger, and gives us the motivation to keep making our lives into a beautiful dream.
