Night Balloon Rodeo Open Mic Reading Series is a seasonal event established for creative types of all ages curious about the possibilities language holds. Each night will offer a space for spectacle, regeneration, interpretation, surprise, the ethereal, codes, coincidence, pandemonium, diatribes, dibble, prayer, running away, pretending, chaos, learning, hide & go seek, laughter, existence, secrets, transformation, solidarity, survival, connection, evolution, mystery, balderdash, order, sense/nonsense, tragedy, collaboration, the hidden, the forbidden, marvel, extravaganza, slant, embellishment, dreams, enigma, tomfoolery, communion, and madness.

Together, we will explore the quirky nuances of existence through written and spoken word.

Night Balloon Rodeo meets six times biannually in the living room of Richmond Young Writers/Life in 10 Minutes, located at 2707 W. Cary Street, Richmond, Virginia, 23220, and will occasionally host other affiliated special events meetings related to the series.
